Actress Paula Patton revealed her true feelings about her divorce with long-term love Robin Thicke on The Meredith Vieira Show earlier this week.
Patton admitted that the year-long divorce process had been challenging. However, she says she feels “like a real woman now” after ending her nine-year marriage to the “Blurred Lines” singer, who she had been romantically involved with since they were teenagers.
According to E! News, Patton and Thicke’s marriage was been legally terminated only six months after the actress filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the main reason for their break-up.

Patton and Thicke announced the breakdown of their marriage in February last year, stating, “We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
Thicke had tried to win back his ex-wife’s affection through onstage tributes and dedicated albums, but to no avail.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Patton revealed she was doing “really well” despite the tumultuous year prior to the divorce.
“You know I’m doing really well. It’s been a long year and a lot of challenges but I’ve grown quite a bit and just getting used to change,” she said. “I mean, the honest truth is it has been challenging, but it’s been a year of growth, lots of healing, learning about all new things, but I’ve come out of it stronger.”
“I live in a place of gratitude and growing up in many ways I think, I moved from my parents’ house to moving in with Robin, and now I’m like becoming an adult at this old age. I’m really like a real woman now,” the 39-year-old added.
Patton and Thicke have a four-year-old son together and shares custody over their child.
Although the courts granted the divorce on March 17, the marriage will be officially over on April 14.
