Anne Hathaway pulled out all the stops to channel Miley Cyrus in a truly spectacular performance of Wrecking Ball for the Tonight Show spin-off, Lip Sync Battle.

Some might even go so far as to say this is Anne Hathaway’s best performance since her Oscar-winnning turn as Fantine in Lex Misérables.

The 32-year-old Interstellar actress joined a growing list of celebrities to battle it out in Spike’s new show. Hathaway takes on Emily Blunt in her turn in the battle, and she certainly didn’t hold back one iota in her over-the-top rendition of the popular song by Miley Cyrus.

What made Anne Hathaway’s performance a step above the rest was her commitment to not only lip sync the song flawlessly, but provide a hilarious parody of Cyrus’ controversial music video.

In a new teaser for Hathaway’s upcoming episode of Lip Sync Battle, she opens the song dressed in a cropped white tank top and piped athletic pants, with her equally short hair slicked back and red ruby lips a lá Miley.

And like Miley Cyrus, Anne Hathaway soon losses some of her clothing, as she strips down to a pair of high-waisted white briefs.

The performance goes from wow to oh wow when she runs to mount the hanging wrecking ball in a near-perfect imitation of Cyrus’ video performance, complete with offering her competitor and former costar Emily Blunt the finger.

Don’t count Emily Blunt out just yet, however. She will surely bring on the heat in her bid to beat Anne Hathaway in their Lip Sync Battle. The 32-year-old British star is just as experienced in musical theater as Hathaway, thanks to her role in 2014’s Into the Woods.

Other stars to have had their turn on the increasingly popular show include John Legend, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Anna Kendrick, among others.

Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt’s episode will air on Thursday, April 9 at 10 p.m.
