Kendall Jenner: My Life Is Not Normal

Kendall Jenner is carving out a career of her own. She is skyrocketing into a career in fashion and modeling that might seem to follow her famous sister. But Kendall Jenner has some rules of her own about how she gets there.

For starters, Kendall Jenner did not allow any of the E! camera crews from Keeping Up with the Kardashians to follow her as she built her modeling career.

“I told them from the beginning, I was like, ‘Okay, love you guys, but we’re not gonna do this. You’re not gonna follow me to shows, you’re not gonna be with me on this ride.'”

Not that she wants to distinguish herself as better than her family, but she just wants something of her own.

“I didn’t do it because I felt like I had to prove something. This is a career that I’ve always wanted. And I mean, what else would I be doing? I probably would have gone to school to get the degree to go to work, when work was already there.”

Kendall Jenner insists that the show that made her a household name is all real.

“It’s completely me. I don’t know how I’d have to play a character. Because it’s all our real life. It’s all real, so when there’s a story line, it’s all done after the fact that we’ve filmed, because that’s obviously how it makes sense, because that’s just how it actually happened.”

Still she admits that she never really had a say in being on KUWTK.

“Me and my little sister were placed in [the show],” Kendall says. “Like, ‘Okay, there’s gonna be a TV show around.’ We didn’t have a say. And how could we have a say? It was in our home. There was no way we couldn’t be on it.”

Then when the conversation shifts to the tabloid news and upcoming Barbara Walters special about her father Bruce Jenner, the cracks start to show in Kendall Jenner’s insistence that this is all normal.

“All that is bullshit,” she says about some of the tabloid headlines. “I don’t even know what they’re talking about, so I have no idea. That’s why this life is different. That’s why this life isn’t normal. You know what I mean?”
