Sarah Hyland spoke to E! News recently about her boyfriend Dominic Sherwood, calling him amazing.

“He’s amazing. He’s an amazing person,” she said after learning about his new role on ABC Family’s Shadowhunters. “We became such good friends on Vampire Academy. I’m so happy for him. It’s an amazing thing.”

Sherwood and Sarah Hyland started dating back in November. The Modern Family star has been spotted out with her beau–with sightings at Disneyland and at L.A. Lakers games.

Sarah Hyland stars in a new film that premieres in theaters on Friday. See You in Valhalla tells the story of Johana Burwood, who returns home following the bizarre death of her brother to face her quirky family. That family includes her estranged dad, her two competitive brothers, as well as various significant others. The family is uncomfortable with each other at first, and their inner turmoil manifests itself in numerous squabbles–and a couple of all-out fights. Johana is faced with some secrets from her past when she runs into an old boyfriend who just can’t seem to let go. It’s only when tensions reach an all time high that someone has a brilliant idea that will send their departed brother off with great style. Sarah Hyland plays the role of Johana Burwood. She also serves as one of the film’s producers.

E! News asked Sarah Hyland if now that she has both acted and produced, might she consider directing as well. They questioned if she might one day direct an episode of Modern Family.

“Oh no, too much of a beast,” she said. “I don’t think I could be a director. There’s a lot that goes into it. I loved producing.”

E! News also asked Sarah Hyland if she knew any details on Modern Family costar Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s upcoming wedding.

“Boy I don’t know anything,” Hyland said. “She has a huge family to deal with that. Her fake family doesn’t need to.”

Sarah Hyland does seem to know everything she needs to know about boyfriend Dominic Sherwood. And the fact that she finds him ‘amazing’ is a definite indication of her happiness in the relationship.
