Julianne Hough and brother Derek Hough will go head to head on Spike’s half-hour original series “Lip Sync Battle.”
Spike TV has released a sneak peek clip of “Dancing with the Stars” alum Julianne Hough lip-synching to “I Just Had Sex” by The Lonely Island. The full episode, hosted by LL Cool J, hits on Thursday, May 14 at 10:00 p.m.
Julianne Hough and Derek Hough join an impressive list of other celebs who have hopped on the show to do their thing for bragging rights. The concept took off from a Jimmy Fallon bit on “The Tonight Show,” and has blossomed into a phenomenon.
The show has been so successful that Spike has ordered another 20 episodes. In addition to setting records for viewership on Spike, the videos of the performances often go viral on YouTube, resulting in even more exposure.
“Lip Sync Battle is a television and viral rock star for Spike,” proclaimed Kevin Kay, President, Spike. “We are thrilled to be renewing Lip Sync Battle whose success is a direct result of the brilliance and creativity of our producers, the brave performers, and of course the coolest new duo on television, LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.”

Even the debut episode of Lip Sync Battle broke records, coming in as the highest rated series premiere in Spike history.
“The record ratings are indicative of the incredible talent and creativity of the producers and participants who delivered in so many ways,” said Kevin Kay, President, Spike. “We are incredibly encouraged by the balanced audience of the premiere as we continue our mission to target a broad viewership.”
Julianne Hough will be following in the footsteps of Hoda Kotb, Michael Strahan, Mike Tyson, Terry Crews, John Krasinski, Anna Kendrick, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and others on the popular show.
