Country singer George Strait has a new single on the charts, prompting some of his fans to ask, ‘Does he want to build a snowman?’
Strait’s new song is called ‘Let It Go,’ reminding many of that other ‘Let It Go,’ from the hit animated film, Frozen.
The two songs couldn’t be more different, however.
According to a report from CMT News, George Strait’s ‘Let It Go’ urges listeners to be happy with what they have, to cherish the good times, and to simply let the rest go.

“It says a lot,” Strait said in a recent interview. “I mean, all that stuff is just stuff–and then you die. All that other stuff don’t mean a lot.”
He makes a very good point.
“You just can’t get too wrapped up in all your things because it’s all just dust, like the song says,” George Strait adds. “And you can’t get enough, you know, so just be happy with what you have.”

‘Let It Go’ is written by George Strait, too, along with his son, Bubba, and hit song writer Keith Gattis. It’s the first single from his upcoming new album.
What’s your take on the new song by George Strait called ‘Let It Go?’ Does it make you want to build a snowman or wait for the entire album to be released instead?
Here’s that other ‘Let It Go.’ This most definitely isn’t the George Strait version.
