2015 is shaping up to be Amy Schumer’s year.

The comedienne is riding high right now. Her show Inside Amy Schumer is finally getting the recognition it deserves, winning major awards at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards and the Peabody Awards over the weekend.

The Trainwreck actress couldn’t be at the Critics’ Choice Awards show but tweeted a heartfelt message, thanking the critics “whose writing made me realize, ‘Wow, they heard [us]. They see us and understand.”

It’s easy to understand why the Critics’ Choice and Peabody awards were especially poignant for Schumer and her team. Her ultra-feminist Comedy Central show’s brilliant sketches have resonated and generated a cult-like following for their irreverent but hard hitting way of portraying what’s happening today, from the hilarious Last Fuckable Day sketch that underlined Hollywood’s ageism to A Very Realistic Military Game which daringly touched on rape in the military.

During the Peabody Awards, Tina Fey stepped in for emcee Fred Armisen to hand out Schumer’s award.

The Saturday Night Live alum, who was part of Schumer’s Last Fuckable Day skit, introduced the 34-year-old comedienne as doing the “impossible on a regular basis.”

“In a culture where young female entertainers are expected to be sexy without being too sexual, Amy’s honesty is making everyone furious,” Fey continued.

The 30 Rock mainstay also described Schumer as the biggest deal in comedy at the moment.

“And that’s why I really wanted to come down here tonight in a Madonna kind of way … maybe suck her soul out in a maybe very awkward staged lesbian kiss,” the funny lady explained. “but when I pitched that idea to Amy’s camp, they came back with such an immediate yes that it kind of grossed me out.”

But Fey didn’t just go ahead and make out with Schumer, she was nice enough to hand her the award first.
