Lamar Odom has grappled with drug addiction off and on for years. His addiction was the catalyst for his split from Khloe Kardashian. Now Lamar is dealing with the darker side of addiction. His best friend, Jamie Sangouthai, died in recent days of a heroin overdose.

Khloe Kardashian was among the first to share her words of grief over the passing of the former Khloe & Lamar star.

Lamar Odom has yet to publicly express his shock and grief, but it is expected Jamie’s death is hitting him hard.

It was via Twitter that Khloe expressed her feelings on Sunday.

She is no doubt quite concerned over Lamar Odom’s reaction to this tragic news.

Might this next Tweet have been directed at Lamar Odom?

A close family friend of Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, and Jamie Sangouthai’s–Malika Haqq–confirmed his death on Sunday. She shared a photo on Instagram that includes both Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom.

“Thru good and bad times life shows us every spirit matters and leaves a print on the hearts of others after they have passed… RIP Jamie Sangouthai #GodHelpUsAll,” the post is captioned.

Is it possible that something positive might emerge from this tragedy? Could Jamie Sangouthai’s passing bring Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom back together? The two have ignored their divorce papers in the court system and Lamar recently admitted to still being in love with Khloe.

Nevertheless Lamar Odom is certainly grief-stricken at the sudden death of his 37-year-old friend. Khloe Kardashian is likely also concerned that this tragedy could send Lamar back into a drug-induced spiral.
