Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have been close friends for a while now, and they are not about to let their job come between them.

Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are both very in-demand models, but Hadid doesn’t feel like she is in competition with her friend.

In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar recently, she explained, “I don’t really feel competition like that. Especially in a job like this—we look different, like Hailey [Baldwin] is brunette now. So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they’re not going to want someone who looks like me.”

She added, “It’s completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you’re going to let it ruin that, then that’s stupid.”

It’s a good thing Gigi Hadid feels that way. Competition for a job has ruined many a friendship!

What Gigi Hadid has going for her is that she is grateful, and still sometimes shocked, for how her life has turned out.

She said, “A couple days ago I was shooting a project that will come out in a couple months. The photographer was just taking a look at what he had shot so far, and I had to turn around for a moment, and I started tearing up because I just thought, ‘This is so crazy that I’m doing this.'”

She added, “I can’t tell you what exactly the shoot was for, but it was just a moment I had. I just had a second and I couldn’t control it—it just came out. I was like, ‘Holy sh*t, this is my life. No one gets to do this.’ It was really cool.”

These days, Gigi Hadid’s disbelief may be extending to the fact that she is rumored to be dating Joe Jonas.

In fact, it was reported that Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas recently made their first official public appearance together.

Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas stepped out in support of his parents, Kevin and Denise, and brother Nick at the 2015 Father of the Year Awards. Sources said that they were very lovey-dovey all night.

Denise Jonas said of the budding relationship between her son and Gigi Hadid, “I don’t know yet. I have to see.”

She added, “We’ll see! Check with me in a month.”
