Kate Gosselin issued a rather low blow to Jon Gosselin with a comment she made recently. Whether she intended to do so or not, her comment definitely dissed the father of her eight children.

During a clip that promotes her 40th birthday special–that airs on TLC tonight at 10:00 p.m., Kate dishes about life since her divorce, calling the years since she and Jon Gosselin’s marriage ended “the greatest five years” of her life.

Kate Gosselin celebrated turning the big 4-0 by taking a trip to Cancun earlier this year. Is there any better way to celebrate a milestone birthday than by enjoying some fun in the sun?

Kate is sick to death of people asking her about her dating life. She is rumored to be dating millionaire Jeff Prescott and was also romantically linked with her bodyguard Steve Neild.

“I want people to stop asking me if I’m dating,” the Kate Plus 8 star says. “I would like that to end.”

Kate Gosselin explains that the questions offend her, as they serve as “a reminder that here I am, it’s just me.”

Something she hates even more than being asked about her dating life is being asked about Jon Gosselin.

“Don’t talk to me about ex situations,” she says. “I don’t define myself with that.”

Right now it’s pretty simple–and that’s how it should be with young kids.

“I want my kids to grow up and be each other’s best friends,” she says.

And while that sounds like a pretty easy accomplishment, Kate Gosselin will no doubt find throughout some of the coming years that it’s something that’s much easier said that done.
