Amanda Boyd, the ex-wife of golf pro Jason Dufner, is at the center of an alleged sex scandal this week after news broke that she had an affair with Tiger Woods. Now, a source claims that their tryst was ignited after Tiger skipped his therapy sessions, and that’s why Lindsey Vonn ended things with him.

According to the Daily Mail, Vonn’s explanation for the breakup–that they lead hectic professional lives that kept them from spending time together–was crafted to keep his indiscretions out of the media. Woods and his relationships have been pretty public since he divorced wife Elin Nordegren in 2009 amid allegations of cheating, and eventually it was revealed that he had been with at least a dozen other women. When Woods began dating Vonn, fans held out hope that the couple would work through his issues together and eventually marry, but the happy ending never came.

Rumors of Tiger’s infidelity have actually been swirling online since earlier this year, when a source told the Daily Mail that it was indeed the reason for their breakup. At the time, Amanda Boyd’s name wasn’t mentioned.

“He had a relapse in the sex department. Lindsey found out about women again. Always while he’s on the road. Just like when he was with Elin,” the source said.

Vonn released a statement via Facebook when the couple parted ways, saying she admires and respects Tiger Woods.

“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart,” Vonn wrote.

As for Amanda Boyd, she and Tiger have reportedly been dating for months after a serious flirtation on the tour circuit. While Woods has vehemently denied the allegations via his rep, photos have surfaced online showing Boyd hanging out with Lindsey Vonn on the course, along with sources who say Amanda was well-known to be a flirt during the tour. However, Amanda Boyd’s Instagram account appears to have been deleted.
