But Maika Monroe has been making headlines for something else she managed to do on the Independence Day set. It looks like she snagged herself one Liam Hemsworth.

Liam Hemsworth and Maika Monroe were spotted making out at an Independence Day party — no really, a Fourth of July party — thrown by the film’s director, Roland Emmerich.

“His hand was on her butt as she was grinding into him and they were making out at the bar,” an Us Magazine source said. “Liam was draped all over her. It was so PDA and in-your-face!”

“They’re not official,” the source continued. “But their chemistry is ridiculous!”

The party was also attended by Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman, Lance Bass and others.

Maybe this was just another office-party make-out between co-workers? Happens all the time. But then Maika Monroe and Hemsworth were spotted out together again days later.

Fans are wondering if Hemsworth has finally moved on from Miley Cyrus, who seems to be doing just fine, thank you very much, with her Victoria’s Secret gal pal.

Cyrus was photographed kissing Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell last week, and not just some little peck to raise eyebrows. The two were lip-locked in a photo, with Cyrus grabbing Maxwell’s butt.
