Scott Disick seems to think he still has a chance with longtime love Kourtney Kardashian despite his tryst with Chloe Bartoli over the 4th of July weekend.

People magazine is reporting that the bad boy of Keeping Up With the Kardashians thinks he can apologize his way out of a split with the mother of his three children.

“Scott says that he’s doing fine,” the source says. “He says that he is not upset that the relationship is over, because ‘over’ doesn’t always mean ‘over.’ He has left open the door to getting back with her.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Scott Disick was forgiven by Kourtney for some questionable behavior. However, Kourtney Kardashian seems a bit more determined this time.

According to TMZ, Kourtney had Scott Disick’s belongings moved to his $3.5-million house he bought in December while the family celebrated Penelope Disick’s third birthday at Disneyland.

Disick and Kardashian, parents to Mason, five, Penelope, three, and Reign, six months, broke up after nine years last week after Scott was photographed with 25-year-old stylist Chloe Bartoli in very cozy circumstances.

The source says Scott isn’t seeing the break up “clearly” and believes an apology will make it all better.

“But he’s open to the idea that she may not forgive him and it may really be over for good, and he’s okay with that, too,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Right now his feeling is, whatever happens, happens.”

According to the source for People, Scott monitored social media to see what the media was covering, but said he “didn’t care” about the negative reaction.

“Humility isn’t Scott’s strong suit, but if he wants to move forward in any sort of healthy way, he needs to be humble and apologize,” said the source about Scott Disick.
