Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard departed for a foreign country last weekend where they will serve as missionaries. That means Jill–who was in training to become a midwife-will miss out on the birth of the next member of the 19 Kids and Counting family.

Anna Duggar, who was recently due to give birth to her fourth child with Josh Duggar, is now overdue. This means their baby could arrive any time now and Jill Duggar won’t be around to witness the birth.

Of course it’s uncertain that Jill would have attended Anna Duggar’s labor and delivery–or even if Anna is having a midwife. Sister Jana Duggar is a midwife, so she will at the very least be around to help Anna out after the new baby arrives.

This weekend, Anna Duggar and Jessa Duggar Seewald compared the size of their bellies in a fun picture. Jessa’s is, of course, much smaller, since her baby isn’t due until November.

Anna and Josh Duggar are already the parents of one daughter–Mackynzie is five–and two sons. Michael Duggar is three and Marcus Duggar is two. They are expecting a girl this time around.

Josh Duggar has been front and center in the news recently for having sexually molested five underage girls when he was a teenager. Sisters Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald have admitted they are two of his victims. It is expected that Jana Duggar and Jinger Duggar are the other two sisters Josh molested. He also molested one non-related girl.

Do you expect Jill Duggar will be disappointed she isn’t home in Arkansas when Anna Duggar finally has her fourth baby? Or is Jill more than content to be serving as a missionary a long way from home?
