Kareena Kapoor, who will be crowning this year’s Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic in Mumbai, had a lot to say about the women who enter the contest.
She said, “Every Indian woman is unique and beautiful in their own right. Through Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic, we are looking for those who believe in themselves.”
Kareena Kapoor believes that the contest is a great way for India to help preserve its heritage among the women of her country.
She added, “India is a house to diverse and vibrant ethnicities and is imperative for each one of us to preserve it.”
On the contest’s website, Kareena Kapoor explains the premise of the contest.
She wrote, “What I like about Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic is that it is a celebration of the identity of the woman. She could be a homemaker who cooks exceptional well; a music teacher or a dancer.”
She added, “She has to keep ethnic alive in her own way and believe in herself. Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic, for me, is a strong woman who inspires those around her to give their best.”
Entries for the contest are open till August 20th 2015, and the winner will be crowned on September 11th in Mumbai.
