Cissy Houston served as matriarch of a family gathering at the home of Pat Houston, celebrating the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown after her funeral on Saturday. Bobbi Kristina was mourned at a funeral at the St. James Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia–just outside of Atlanta. Tensions ran high as the Houston and Brown families gathered together.

Those tensions started earlier in the week, following Bobbi Kristina’s death last Sunday. Cissy Houston and Bobby Brown had very different ideas about how Bobbi Kristina should be honored. Cissy Houston also had very strong feelings about the guest list, insisting that Bobby Brown not invite certain members of his family.

One member of Bobby Brown’s family that probably should have been left off that list is Leolah Brown. She made a scene in front of all the mourners when Pat Houston was about to address those gathered. Tyler Perry escorted Leolah from the church. Once outside she addressed the media.

“Whitney Houston will haunt Pat Houston from the grave,” she said.

Leolah Brown later told the media, “It’s not over. We’ve got evidence of who Pat really is, this is going to be a long drawn out process.”

The Brown family seems to think they deserve some of Bobbi Kristina’s inheritance from her late mother, Whitney Houston. Whitney’s will clearly reads that in the event of Bobbi Kristina’s passing, the money is to be divided between Cissy Houston and her two sons. One of those sons is married to Pat Houston, and members of the Brown family seem to feel Pat catered to Bobbi Kristina since she was discovered nearly dead in her townhouse bathtub back on January 31, for the money alone.

Interestingly enough, Leolah Brown attended the reception in honor of Bobbi Kristina at Pat Houston’s home following the funeral. Cissy Houston must have been disgusted to see her arrive after witnessing her making such a scene at her granddaughter’s funeral.

The reception at Pat Houston’s home was a lighthearted affair, with guests chanting Bobbi Kristina’s name as they pointed toward heaven.

Bobbi Kristina will be buried on Monday next to Whitney Houston in New Jersey, near Cissy Houston’s home.
