Zooey Deschanel, in the last few weeks, has experienced some major life changes!

The New Girl star secretly married producer Jacob Pechenik and she gave birth to their baby girl.

Zooey Deschanel married Pechenik secretly back in June.

“I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl,” her rep said in a statement.

The baby girl was reportedly born last week in Austin, Texas, where Pechenik is based. That is also where the couple was married on June 21st.

While the baby’s name has yet to be revealed by the notoriously private couple, we won’t be looking for Zooey Deschanel to be desperate to whip her body back into pre-baby shape. She’s just not that worried about it.

Zooey Deschanel told Cosmopolitan back in May, “Haven’t we all seen those pictures of a sexy new mom in a bikini after one month? I will not be that person.”

She continued, “I’ve always gone my own course and never been someone who had the need to be super skinny. I like a healthy look. I don’t buy into that skinny-is-better mentality. I just eat healthy and work out and don’t worry about my weight too much.”

She added, “Actresses aren’t models, and most of them never wanted to be.”
