Gabrielle Union and Rob Lowe are lending their voices for the upcoming Lion King spinoff.
The Parks and Recreation alum and Being Mary Jane star signed on to voice Nala and Simba, respectively, in Disney Channel’s upcoming Lion King sequel TV movie and series, entitled The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, it was announced Wednesday.
Joining Gabrielle Union and Rob Lowe are James Earl Jones and Ernie Sabella will reprise their roles as Mufasa and Pumbaa from the classic 1994 animated Disney film. Max Charles of The Strain will voice Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala.

The Lion Guard follows Kion, who becomes the leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals in charge of preserving the Pride Lands.
Kion’s best friends include Bunga (Joshua Rush), a fearless honey badger; Ono (Atticus Shaffer of The Middle), an intellectual egret; Fuli (Diamond White), a confident cheetah and Beshte (Dusan Brown), a friendly and good-spirited hippo.

The cast also includes Khary Payton (Teen Titans) will voice Rafiki and Kevin Schon will reprise his The Lion King role as Timon. Other voice cast members include Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and All My Children‘s Eden Riegel.

The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar with Gabrielle Union and Rob Lowe will air in November and the series will follow in early 2016 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
