Hoda Kotb and Kris Jenner honored the late Frank Gifford and his wife Kathie Lee Gifford on the birthday they long shared–August 16. Frank Gifford would have been 85 on Sunday and Kathie Lee turned 62.

It was last Sunday that Frank Gifford passed away. Hoda Kotb knew him well, as she and Kathie Lee Gifford co-host the fourth hour of The Today Show together. Kris Jenner knew Frank well, too, as he and Kathie Lee Gifford are godparents of Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

Hoda Kotb took to Twitter to honor her past and present friends.

Kris Jenner chose Instagram on which to share her love of Frank Gifford and for Kathie Lee.

“Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend Kathie Lee…. I wish you peace and understanding. I know it’s Franks birthday today too. I wish I was there with you today. Big hug my angel,” she captioned the photo.

Kathie Lee paid an emotional tribute to Frank Gifford that had herself as well as Hoda Kotb in tears.

Working alongside Hoda Kotb will be a good thing for Kathie Lee Gifford. Spending time with someone who loved Frank will provide Kathie Lee with a sense of comfort, a shoulder to cry on, and lots of love.
