Actress Jennifer Westfeldt and Mad Men star Jon Hamm have called it quits after spending 18 years together.

The two shared a statement with People magazine regarding the split.

“With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history,” the statement reads. “We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward.”

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt were last spotted together in New York City in July, where they attended the premiere after-party for Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.

Jon Hamm went to rehab earlier in 2015 for alcohol issues. Rumors circulated at that time about a break up. The rumors were denied, and Hamm even sang Jennifer Westfeldt’s praises for supporting him through the ordeal.

In 2014 he told People magazine how lucky he felt that Jennifer Westfeldt was in his life.

“Our lives are entwined,” Hamm said. “It’s a long time [together]. I’m definitely the guy that repeats his stories! Mostly it’s just paying attention and keeping engaged and not succumbing to inertia or going through the motions.”

It was back in 1997 when Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt became a couple. The two never married or had children, however.

They starred together in the film Friends with Kids in 2011. Jessica Westfeldt wrote, produced, and directed the film, too.

This has definitely been the summer of Hollywood break ups. Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt now join the list that includes Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck as well as Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.
