Kelli Giddish, best known for her role as Detective Amanda Rollins on Law & Order: SVU,, welcomed a baby into the world on Tuesday. Her friend and co-star Ice-T shared word of his visit via Twitter, where he posted a photo of his pregnant wife Coco holding the new baby.

No one has yet publicly announced whether Kelli Giddish’s new baby is a boy or a girl. The name Ludo sort of denotes a boy–don’t you think?

It’s been a whirlwind summer for Kelli Giddish. She announced her pregnancy in July, and tied the knot with baby daddy Lawrence Faulborn in Florida just about a month prior.

Kelli Giddish plays Ice-T’s character, Fin Tutuola’s partner on Law & Order: SVU. Her pregnancy has been written into the show. In last week’s episode she admitted to Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay), who is her superior, that she is pregnant. Kelli Giddish is a single mom on the show. In real life she and Mariska Hargitay are close friends.

It will be fun to see how Kelli Giddish’s pregnancy evolves on Law & Order: SVU. How many twists and turns do you suppose that story line might take?
