Back to the Future is turning 30 years old, and is being celebrated in many ways by fans everywhere. New York City retailer PIQ is hosting an event on October 15 called “Welcome to the Future,” which will feature what it says is the largest collection of Back to the Future products in the city.

Products will be available for sale, and a custom five-foot long, flying model DeLorean will be unveiled (right in the store window of course).

The event will even have a couple of stars from the film – James Tokan (Principal Strickland) and Donald Fullilove (Mayor “Goldie” Wilson) – in attendance who will be posing for photos and signing autographs, according to an article at BackToTheFuture.com.

The report also says that Radio City Music Hall is having a two-night screening of the original film with a symphony orchestra playing the score live.

The main event at PIQ is happening from 5:00pm to midnight at PIQ Rockefeller Center.

Other events are being held in Toronto, Pasadena, Burbank, New Orleans, Melbourne, Perth, and elsewhere. You can find a list here.

In other Back to the Future news, Mondo is releasing the score for all three films in the trilogy on vinyl in an amazing collectors’ set.
