Bristol Palin is expecting her second child. Already mom to son Tripp, who is six, Bristol recently divulged whether her son will be welcoming a baby brother or sister.

Sharing her gender reveal via social media, Bristol Palin posted a photo of herself cradling her growing belly.

“7.5 months with my baby girl ?” she captioned the post.

Sarah Palin is likely thrilled that she will soon have a granddaughter.

Bristol Palin also shared word of her baby’s gender in a blog post she wrote over the weekend. The topic of her post closely follows her mom’s political beliefs. Bristol wrote about the need for parental consent for birth control.

“I know I’m the last to talk about birth control. (Two baby daddies right? LOLZ!),” Bristol Palin wrote. “But I am expecting a girl and do have a 14 year old sister and I would be so concerned for her going into a clinic and having something pretty serious put into her body.”

“I’m not against birth control by ANY MEANS so do not twist my words. But I am against the government going between a parent and a child at such a young age… WE as parents know what’s best for our young daughters – NOT the government,” she added.

Bristol Palin hasn’t publicly shared any thoughts on what she might name her baby girl when she is born. She also hasn’t publicly shared the name of her baby’s father, although sources say it’s her ex-fiance Dakota Meyer. Son Tripp is the son of Levi Johnston. Bristol was pregnant with Tripp during the time Sarah Palin was John McCain’s running mate.

Bristol Palin was engaged to marry Dakota Meyer, but she called the wedding off. Sources say she found him to be too controlling, wanting her to move to Kentucky, when she wanted to stay in Alaska.
