Charlotte Riley and husband Tom Hardy welcomed their first child together this week. The pair kept mum about Charlotte’s pregnancy until she appeared at his Legend premiere in September. By then Charlotte Riley had a very well rounded baby bump she proudly displayed on the red carpet.

Although this is Riley’s first child, their newborn is Tom Hardy’s second. He is the father of seven-year-old Louis from his previous relationship with Rachel Speed.

Tom Hardy has always been intensely private about his personal life. That may be why neither the gender nor the name of his and Charlotte Riley’s baby has yet hit the media. In fact, Hardy was the one who let it slip that he had married Charlotte Riley. He inadvertently called her his “missus” during an interview, then admitted that yes, the two had tied the knot.

“I’m the finder of dogs, you know what I mean? My missus [Riley], she’s like, ‘You’re not allowed to bring another dog back from a job.’ But I’ll always find one,” Hardy said in April 2014 in a campaign in which he posed with one of his rescue dogs. “On every job we go on, I’ll either find someone’s dog and look after it, or I’ll take my own dog, or I find a dog and we home it. I do find dogs.”

Congratulations are certainly in order to Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley–and big brother, Louis, too–on the birth of their newest family member.

It will be even more fun when fans learn whether the baby is a boy or a girl–and what they’ve named him or her.
