So you wanna be the caped crusader for Halloween this year? How about Darth Vader? A pirate?

Just don’t. Be more original.

Google has used its billions of daily searches to create a new interactive trends map. It’s calling it “Frightgeist” (hah) and it lets you look at the most-popular Halloween costume searches in cities all across the country.

“With Frightgeist,we went on a hunt to find the most popular costumes. Pulling from the top 500 costume searches in the United States, Frightgeist uses Google Trends to tell you what’s trending at a costume party near you and help you find a costume that’s sure to turn heads – if they have them. Before you go chopping up a perfectly good white bedsheet, pick something a bit more unique this year,” says Google.

So, if you’re looking to avoid showing up the bar dressed like everyone else, this could help.

Of course, this is only search data – so there’s no guarantee that the increased search volume led to actual costume choices.

But it’s pretty cool. Go check it out.
