Jared Fogle, the disgraced Subway spokesman who was accused earlier this year of engaging in sex acts with minors and receiving child pornography, allegedly told a female friend of his that he wanted to throw a party for the sole purpose of luring children into a home.

The friend, journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond, began secretly recording Fogle when his comments about underage sex began to get disturbing and captured Fogle talking about a way to gain access to kids, including her own.

“He wanted me to set up my children, but along with their friends and their friends’ siblings,” she said.

Walrond sought help from the FBI once she realized that Fogle was a predator and was asked to wear a wire, which is where the recordings originated. She says Jared Fogle told her he would fly them wherever she wanted to go in order to gain access to children.

“I would fly us clear across the world if we need to. To Thailand or wherever we want to go. If we’re gonna try to get some young kids with us it would be a lot easier. I had a little boy. It was amazing. It just felt so good. I mean, it felt — it felt so good,” Fogle allegedly said.

Jared Fogle has pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him; he faces up to 12 years in prison and will be sentenced later this month.

Police raided Fogle’s house in July and took away quite a bit of evidence, including computers. His wife, Katie, filed for divorce soon after and released a statement regarding the troubling news.

“My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children. Neither I nor my family will have any further comment on the matter. I appreciate respect for my family’s privacy during this difficult time.”
