Slack Expands /remind Function To Include Other Users

Slack announced on Twitter that its /remind function, which previously let users set reminders for themselves, now works for reminding other people about things.

Some might find this annoying, but considering that Slack is for teams, it could actually be an important feature for helping ensure things get done.

Beyond that, reminders can now be set for entire channels as well as on a recurring basis.

Slack has been adding quite a bit of functionality over the past couple of weeks. Among its other announcements have been easier slash commands, user groups, and group messages.
