Pamela Anderson shared a photo of herself in the nude recently with on Instagram with a caption announcing that she has allegedly been cured of hepatitis C.
The actress and activist stripped down on a boat and smiled big for the photo, saying she had undergone a special treatment for the last few months in the hopes of ridding her body of the disease.
“I am CURED!!! – I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live,” Anderson wrote.
It’s worth noting that the treatment is very pricey and can run patients up to $100,000, but Anderson says it worked for her and that it will be more readily available soon. According to Pamela, she contracted it while married to rocker Tommy Lee after sharing a tattoo needle with him (something he denies) and has been suffering with the disease–which affects the liver and other vital organs and can be fatal–ever since, calling it a “death sentence”.
“I think it really worked on my self esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, I think it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me,” she told People earlier this year.
