Sharon Tate, a beautiful and talented 26-year-old actress, was brutally murdered in August of 1969 by the infamous Manson family.
Sharon Tate was eight and a half months pregnant with her first child when the gang, on the order of leader Charles Manson, broke into her Beverly Hills home and stabbed her to death.
The Manson family members murdered four other people who were at the home besides Sharon Tate.
Sharon Tate was a rising star in Hollywood and was married to famed director Roman Polanski.
Sharon Tate is still remembered for her spirit and talent, including by other young Hollywood stars, like Lindsay Lohan, who made her admiration known via Instagram on Thursday.
All well and good. Except Thursday was Charles Manson’s birthday.
Of course, many followers and observers voiced their opinions on the propriety of posting pics of oneself dressed like Sharon Tate on that particular date.
#lindsaylohan dressed as Sharon Tate on Charle's Manson's 81st b-day
Top that, Amanda Bynes.

Some gave her tribute to Sharon Tate the benefit of the doubt that perhaps Lindsay Lohan just didn’t know and chose very unfortunate timing.
Others, however, weren’t so kind.
So glad that Lindsay Lohan and Charles Manson finally found each other.

What do you think? Did Lindsay Lohan cross the line (again) by posting this photo of her dressed as Sharon Tate on the birthday of Charles Manson?
Or do you think Lindsay was trying to purposefully focus attention on, and honor, Sharon Tate on the birthday of the man who ordered her murder?
Or do you suppose she was completely ignorant of the fact that it was Charles Manson’s birthday like most of the population?
