Sarah Hyland took a huge fashion risk earlier this week at the InStyle Golden Globes party in West Hollywood. The Modern Family star donned a red parachute dress for the event–and that’s a move not many can pull off.

Known for her role as Haley Dunphy on the hit ABC show, Sarah Hyland was stunning–but her dress? The jury’s still out on that one. The flared fire engine-red dress featured a bandeau top and a flared skirt that was supported by wide black straps that crossed in the back.

With a dress like this one, Sarah Hyland kept her accessories to a minimum. She wore simple, high-heeled strappy sandals, simple diamond earrings and a ring. Her hair was pulled back with a deep side-part.
