Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are now officially an item after they confirmed it to the world recently, but that doesn’t mean their fans are used to the idea of them sharing PDAs just yet.
Shelton got a shoutout from his fellow Voice coach Adam Levine during an interview before a recent show, and after he followed up a joke with the words “I love you”, Gwen quickly followed suit.
“F— Blake. I’ve known Blake for too long. Blake’s just my buddy. I’m just kidding. I love you, Blake! Kinda. Ish,” Levine said.
“I love you too, Blake! Ish,” Gwen added.
Gwen’s message for Blake immediately sent fans to the Web, where they began buzzing about the newest development in the couple’s relationship. Things certainly seem to be moving quickly for the duo; Gwen and her ex, Gavin Rossdale, only recently announced their divorce amid rumors that he cheated with their nanny, and Blake Shelton just divorced fellow country star Miranda Lambert this year. Gwen told Ryan Seacrest last month that she had been writing so many songs since the breakup that she had enough for two albums.
“I think I have enough probably for two albums. I got 20 songs. I want to keep writing,” Gwen said.
When asked about the rumors surrounding herself and Blake Shelton, Gwen played it coy.
“I’m not going to answer that right now. But I think he’s hot, don’t you?” she said.
Blake didn’t attend the recent American Music Awards ceremony, but he did take to Twitter to support Gwen, who performed her hit “Used To Love You”. When a fan voiced the opinion that Gwen’s performance was the best of the night, Shelton replied, “Agreed”.
Though the couple haven’t been together long, a source told People that they both seem very much in love.
“He seemed very smitten. Gwen was giddy and very flirty. They were both happy,” the source said of the couple, who attended a party together recently.
