Jelani Maraj is the brother of Nicki Minaj. He is also at the center of a scandal that is not likely to go away any time soon.

On Thursday, Jelani Maraj was charged with raping a 12-year-old.

Page Six reports that Maraj was arraigned on first-degree rape and freed on $100,000 bail. It’s not known whether Nicki Minaj posted bail for her brother or not.

It was just this past August that Jelani Maraj married Jacqueline Robinson in a service at the Coral House on Milburn Lake in Baldwin, New York. Nicki Minaj foot the bill for the lavish wedding and reception.

Minaj posted a photo of herself with Jelani Maraj on Instagram on his wedding day.

“Jelani, I love u more than you’ll ever comprehend,” she captioned it.

Do you expect Nicki Minaj will be shelling out even more money than the $30,000 she spent on Jaleni Maraj’s wedding? Will she be footing the bill for her brother’s legal defense?

Nicki has yet to comment on the rape allegations against her brother. It is likely even more details will hit the press in the coming days.
