Did Modern Family’s Ariel Winter break up with her boyfriend, Laurent Gaudette?

Winter hinted on a possible break-up with Gaudette in a series of Instagram posts earlier this week.

“Start of a new week, start of a new chapter #dancinglikebeyoncemood,” she wrote alongside a photo from Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” music video.

In another Instagram post, the 17-year-old actress shared a photo of herself in a black dress with the caption: “Love doesn’t die, it simply evolves. We grow up, we realize what we truly want,” she wrote, adding that she is looking forward to the next chapter of her love life. “I’m excited for this new chapter in my love life – love is all around.. Family, friends, pizza… The old and the new.”

Last Thursday, Ariel Winter shared an Abraham Maslow quote about moving forward with her 1.3 million Instagram followers.

Fans were surprised to learn that the actress had broken with Lauren, who just celebrated his 18^th birthday with the Modern Family star this past summer. Winter wrote a sweet birthday message for Gaudette, whom she used to call her “Shmoo,” saying she hopes to keep him forever.

Happy 18th birthday shmoo! I love you with all my heart and soul and I could not be more grateful that I get to be the one to spend your special day with you. You’re the most passionate, talented, and loving person I’ve ever met. I love how we can be weird, ie. “we zoo” ;), and how no matter what I know I can always be myself and you’ll still love me. Winter and Gaudette celebrated their second anniversary on October 18 and were last photographed together at LAX airport on November 29. Ariel Winter met Gaudette at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood event in Los Angeles on October 2. She said she took the initiative to introduce herself to the singer. During the height of their romance, Winter told Us that she was happy to be in a relationship with Gaudette whom she also called her “best friend.”

Meanwhile, Ariel Winter recently finished high school and said that she is planning to study law. She explained she still loves acting but she sees the need to have something to fall back on if her acting career one day no longer works out for her.
