Redbook magazine, however, reports that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are planning to adopt their 20th child.

“They’ve been mulling it over for a long time, and they feel the time is right,” a source tells the publication.

Michelle Duggar “doesn’t care if they adopt a boy or a girl, or what ethnicity the child is. She says she just wants to help a child’s life.”

Do you suppose the struggles the Duggar family has experienced at the hands of eldest son Josh Duggar might stand in the way of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar getting approved for adoption? After all, as parents they both came under great scrutiny over the way they handled Josh Duggar having sexually molested four of his own sisters, as well as a fifth unrelated underage female.

When asked a couple of years ago if she and Jim Bob planned to have more kids, Michelle Duggar had this to say.

“I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one,” she said.

“Saying there are too many children is like saying there are too many flowers,” she added, quoting Mother Teresa.

Is there too much scandal presently surrounding Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar right now? Would it be the right time to bring an adoptive child into their home when all is very clearly not right within their family?
