Teresa Giudice, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, recently completed her prison stint at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut for fraud charges.
While in prison, Giudice worked on her memoir, which is set for release on February 9. Called Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, Teresa Giudice shares within its pages how her cell was nicknamed the “Boom Boom Room” because of the frequency with which her cell mates had sex in there.
Not everything about her prison time was humorous, however. Teresa Giudice dishes about her first day there, when she was strip searched, then told to squat, stick out her tongue and cough.
“I wanted to die,” she writes in her book.
It was on day two behind bars she realized what was going on in her prison cell.
“[It was a] muffled sound,” Teresa Giudice recalled. “I could see two women…writhing around. I cannot believe this is happening!”
To pass the time, Giudice concentrated on her husband, her daughters, and the life they would share when she got out–some of them, anyway. Husband Joe Giudice is scheduled to turn himself in to serve his 41-month sentence for many of the same charges in March. He will serve his sentence at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey.

Teresa Giudice will be a single mom for the nearly four years that Joe is in prison. As difficult as that may be, it will likely be better than her time behind bars.
Love waking up to my beautiful girls again! Thank you for your continuous support! Love, love, love you all! Xxx pic.twitter.com/UT2py4PAcI
