Gloria Steinem made a rather controversial comment to Bill Maher on Friday, indicating that young women voters are backing Bernie Sanders so they can meet “boys.” She made the comment when Maher asked her why such a huge number of younger women aren’t supportive of Hillary Clinton.

“Women get more radical as we get older,” she said. “Men tend to get more conservative because they gain power as they age, and women get more radical because they lose power as they age. When you’re young, you’re thinking, ‘Where are the boys?’ The boys are with Bernie.”

After coming under considerable fire for the comment and its inference, Gloria Steinem issued an apology via Facebook on Sunday.

Apology or not, people aren’t impressed with Gloria Steinem’s statement.

She really did say that young women only support Bernie to "meet boys."
