Jordin Sparks and boyfriend rapper Sage the Gemini have called it quits after dating for about nine months.

E! News reports Sparks was having trust issues, and Sage wasn’t helping the situation with his behavior.

A source says Jordin Sparks went through a very difficult breakup with Jason Derulo, and didn’t want to experience anything like that again, so when trust issues cropped up, she called things off with the “Gas Pedal” rapper.

Jordin Sparks and Sage the Gemini–whose real name is Dominic Woods–were first linked in April of 2015. In July, she told E! News he was “just an amazing guy.”

“He’s very sweet,” Sparks continued at that time. “He’s got a big heart. He cherishes me, he just makes me feel so loved, and I feel like that’s how anybody would want to feel in a relationship.”

Despite her breakup, Jordin Sparks seems to have had a great weekend. She shared photos from her seat at Super Bowl 50.
