Ruby Rose, one of the stars of HBO’s Orange is the New Black, blasted Kanye West in defense of Taylor Swift, just hours after the release of his new song, “Famous.”

The new song implies that West made Taylor Swift famous, and speaks of having sex with the “Blank Spaces” singer.
Ruby Rose took to Twitter to voice her disgust.
Too many lines crossed. If I put myself in the shoes of the women he has hurt recently. Victims of Bill Cosby, The Slut shaming, Amber…

She went on to mention Taylor Swift.
And now my dear friend Taylor.. Right before another huge moment for her.. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.

Even though Taylor Swift’s brother Austin Swift came to her defense, Ruby Rose faced backlash on Twitter for having done so.
Apologies. Let me go do some more TV work so my opinions can be valid. What was I thinking. https://t.co/Y33rZixPpm

Rose later made it very clear she had chatted with Taylor Swift before her initial tweet.
I was talking to Taylor last night. I wouldn't comment on something before doing due diligence. https://t.co/xbbLDCxPRH

What’s your take on Kanye West’s tactless lyrics in his new song “Famous?” If you were Taylor Swift, would you be beyond disgusted?
Kudos to Ruby Rose for speaking out against his vulgar, tasteless song lyrics.
