Eva Longoria proved she really could have been the sixth Spice Girl when she recently shared a rendition of the all-girl band’s hit song “Wannabe.” She even put a Telenovela spin on the lyrics, spoken in the way she might speak on the NBC show in which she stars–sans the accent.

On Telenovela, Eva Longoria stars as an actress in a Spanish language soap opera. Her biggest problem is she doesn’t speak any Spanish. Constantly asking others to interpret what they’re saying, the other characters are always after Eva Longoria’s to learn the language.
That said, check out Eva Longoria presenting “Wannabe” Telenovela-style. She created this version in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ album on which the song first appeared.
Imagine if Eva Longoria had attempted a Spanish accent while performing these lyrics.
The season finale of Telenovela aired on Monday night.

Do you expect Eva Longoria and the cast of Telenovela will return for a second season, or will Eva have to hunt down Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, Ginger Spice, Posh Spice, and Baby Spice in order to secure gainful employment?

This wasn’t the first time Eva Longoria channeled one of the Spice Girls. She did it back in May, too, in celebration of Posh Spice Victoria Beckham’s hubby David Beckham’s 40th birthday.
