Jennifer Garner stars in an upcoming film called Miracles from Heaven, and she recently shared the miracles she has experienced in her own life since playing the role.
That first miracle is one of realization. In the film, Jennifer Garner plays the role of Christy Beam. Christy’s 10-year-old daughter Anna has a chronic disorder that is miraculously cured when she sustains a serious accident.
Jennifer Garner realizes she lives a miracle every day when she observes her three healthy children.
“I think for most of us, it’s playing pretend, but it’s a pretty real story,” she says in a recent interview with People magazine. “I don’t think you have to dig very deep when there’s a child. The great thing for us at the end of the day is we can shake it off and go home and be surrounded by health, and that perspective was a real gift to the movie.”

The second miracle is a return to her roots.
Jennifer Garner grew up attending church with her family every Sunday. As with many adults, life becomes busy. There are kids, careers, and a wealth of additional responsibilities. Sometimes going to church gets pushed onto that proverbial back burner.
“I grew up going to church every Sunday,” Garner tells Entertainment Tonight. “Doing this film and being around people where church was normal, more normal than it is in Los Angeles.”
“It kind of just made me think, ‘I’ve got to get on this,'” she adds. “So I talked to my kids, and they said, “Of course we’re ready to go.’ I said, ‘OK, we’ll go Sunday! It’s been a really nice thing for my family.”
Going to church with her children is likely a healing balm for Jennifer Garner, too. In light of her recent split from hubby Ben Affleck, and acknowledging he cheated on her with the family’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian, she is surely experiencing her share of pain. A miracle of this type may be just what the actress needs.
The mom of three worried about taking the role in Miracles from Heaven. It began production right around the time she and Ben Affleck announced their split. She feared being away for so long (it was filmed in Atlanta) would be very hard on her kids. Jennifer Garner says it was actually one of her children who convinced her to take the role.

“She said, ‘Mom, it’s really your turn,” Garner says. “We’ll be OK. You should do it!'”
Miracles come in all sorts of forms. It’s sometimes the little miracles, like realizing how fortunate you are or returning to church on Sundays, that make lives feel fulfilled or complete.
