Blake Shelton was an exemplary host of the 2016 Kids’s Choice Awards on Saturday, wearing his sense of humor on his sleeve. This was a first-time gig for The Voice coach–and one he might be asked to repeat in future years. Yes, Blake Shelton was that good.

You can’t be funny if you can’t poke fun at yourself. Blake Shelton was all of the above. He not only laughed at others and at hilarious situations, he was rather self-deprecating, too. One case in point is the school picture he shared of himself. Blake rocked a mullet and glasses when he was in school.

At one point Blake Shelton fired a toilet paper launcher at Joe Jonas and DNCE. The “Cake by the Ocean” singer thought he was going to lounge for a while and get a bit of R & R, but Blake had other ideas.

Throughout the evening, fans were asked to vote on whether Blake Shelton should dress up as a unicorn, an emoji, or Abraham Lincoln.

The unicorn won.

Blake Shelton was a good sport to put aside his grown-up ventures to entertain the kids at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards. Even the adults in house had a strong appreciation for the “Came Her to Forget” singer’s sense of humor.

Gwen Stefani couldn’t attend the Kids’ Choice Awards to cheer on her man. Still she tweeted from Japan and made sure her son was there at the event in her place.

As all good Kids’ Choice Awards hosts, before the end of the show Blake Shelton was doused with a bit of Nickelodeon green slime.

Did you watch Blake Shelton host the Kids’ Choice Awards on Sunday? What do you think was his funniest Blake moment?
