Chris Martin struggled a little, understandably, after his 2014 split from Gwyneth Paltrow after 10 years of marriage.

While Chris Martin seems pretty happy and carefree these days, it admittedly took him a while to get there.

In fact, Chris Martin indicated that it took about a year, and lots of reading, to fully recover.

He said of his divorce, “I still wake up down a lot of days. But now I feel like I’ve been given the tools to turn it around.”

He added, “You can come at it very aggressively and blame and blame. Or you can put yourself in the garage, so to speak. Take yourself apart and clean off the bits. Reassemble.”

It seems Chris Martin reassembled nicely and has dated the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and model Annabelle Wallis.

The biggest help that Chris Martin had in getting his life back on track was a poem by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi called “The Guest House”.

He said, “That one Rumi poem changes everything. It says that even when you’re unhappy, it’s good for you. It took me a year to get it. A year of depression and all that.”

Chris Martin has made his way back to the top with his band, Coldplay. They gave a stellar Super Bowl performance and released a new album.

He even made some joyful TV appearances with Jimmy Fallon and James Corden.
