Google has unveiled its latest Pixel lineup, including the long-anticipated and much-rumored Pixel Fold.
The Pixel line of smartphones have been a big hit for Google, especially beginning with the Pixel 6 and Google’s custom Tensor chip. The Pixel 7 built on that success, and now Google is taking it further with the company’s first foldable phone:
Pixel Fold: Our first foldable phone has the best camera on a foldable phone,1 and opens to a 7.6-inch screen and folds to a familiar smartphone silhouette. Pre-order Pixel Fold starting today for $1,799 and you’ll get a Google Pixel Watch on us.
The company also announced the Pixel 7a, the budget version of the flagship Pixel 7:
Pixel 7a: Our latest A-Series phone is packed with many of the must-have features on our premium phones, including Face Unlock, 8GB RAM, up to 90 Hz display and wireless charging for the first time. Available for purchase today from $499.
The 7a is rumored to be the last of Google’s popular A-series, meaning this could be customers’ last chance to buy Google’s budget line of phones.
The Pixel Tablet rounds out the new lineup:
Pixel Tablet: Our tablet has a brilliant 11-inch display within an aluminum enclosure textured with our unique nano-ceramic coating, designed for entertainment and gaming. It’s paired with a Charging Speaker Dock to keep it charged up and ready to go and becomes a helpful smart home device that you can use hands-free. Pre-order Pixel Tablet starting today bundled with the dock for $499.
Google has seen major growth in its share of the smartphone market since its introduction of the Pixel 6. With the 7-series lineup, Google becomes one of the few companies offering a compelling foldable option.
