I came across a tweet from a Demand Media employee that simply said, “Looking for Business writers!” With the company’s content being such a hot topic of discussion these days, it seemed noteworthy – particularly since Demand Media’s eHow content seems to be holding steady at the top of Google’s search rankings for a vast number of queries.
The company tells WebProNews that the writers would be writing for eHow Money, one of six primary channels in the new eHow design.
Within the money section eHow has sub-categories like “Saving & Spending,” “Real Estate,” “Career,” and “Your Business”. The “Your Business” category is then broken down into “Starting a Business,” “Managing Employees,” and “Running a Business”. These categories are broken down even further, and so forth.
Any expansion in content here is significant, because there’s a good chance people looking to start a business or improve their existing business will be seeing articles from this section a lot, as they search Google for advice on various aspects of business life.
It’s good to know that Demand Media is seeking business writers specifically, as opposed to assigning business content to inexperienced freelance writers.
Currently, for a Google search on “how to evaluate employee performance,” I’m seeing an eHow article rank at the very top.
Looking for business writers!
