Facebook Claims “Smoking Gun” Evidence Against Ceglia

Things were already looking pretty bad for Paul Ceglia’s case against Facebook. He has been battling the company, claiming that he is entitled to a major stake in the company.

A while back, Ceglia presented emails allegedly sent between himself and Mark Zuckerberg, and the last time we checked in on the case, linguistic experts were saying Zuckerberg probably didn’t write the ones Ceglia alleged him to have written.

Now, Bloomberg is reporting that Facebook said in a court filing late yesterday:

“Defendants have uncovered smoking-gun evidence that the purported contract at the heart of this case is a fabrication.”

Unfortunately, this evidence was not identified, but the company said it was embedded in the electronic data on Ceglia’s computer.

The so-called evidence was apparently uncovered as a result of Facebook’ inspection of the computers turned over by Ceglia.

In other Facebook nemesis news, Tyler Winklevoss of the ConnectU Winklevii cracked a joke about Zuckerberg stealing Foursquare CEO Dennis Crowley’s hoodie. It looks like Crowley ignored him.
