YouTube has come a long way from its earlier days of being a good place to watch funny cat videos and bootleg video of concerts and old music videos. Sure, you can still watch all of that stuff on YouTube, but they live stream concerts, provide access to citizen journalism and even rent movies.
YouTube also gives the common folk a way to communicate with celebrities through submitted questions that they then go on to answer in follow up videos. Google recently did this with Anderson Cooper.
Now, they’re doing it with Taylor Swift. “I want to get the questions directly from you, the fans. You always have the best ones anyway,” she says.
Fans have until the end of the day Wednesday, August 31 to submit their questions.
Speaking of Taylor Swift, she is also on Google+, as we mentioned in a recent list of 15 more celebrities you can add to your Google+ Circles.
Her account is verified.
