Are you worried that your upcoming job interview might notice your Twitter account? You know, the one with all the drunk pics and sexist jokes on it? Yeah, that one. Not enough time to delete the offending tweets, but yet, you don’t want to delete the account entirely? There’s a new app for you to try.

Called “TwitWipe,” the application does pretty much what the name suggests: it deletes tweets. All of them, to be precise. From the description:

TwitWipe is a tool to wipe or delete all your tweets in one go. You may need to do this to start over, to clean it out before handing the account over to someone else, or maybe you’ve just realised how shitty your tweets are.

While the quality of your tweets is between you and your followers, such a tool would be quite useful to avoid potentially embarrassing situations like potential employers finding out you like to get really drunk and ran naked through your dorm, all while tweeting about your drunken escapades. Granted, it might be weird showing a completely blank Twitter account to these same employers, but still, at least the potential embarrassment has been removed.

As for how TwitWipe works, it’s not too complicated. Once you’ve authorized the service to access your Twitter account, the service does its thing and wipes your Twitter account clean. A description from the site:

Because TwitWipe is very popular, there are tooooooo many people wiping their accounts at any given point in time. So just start the process and just leave it on overnight. I’m serious. It is NOT instant. It will take a while. Don’t tell me it’s stuck at 0, because that happens and all you gotta do is WAIT.

If you get disconnected or any other shit happens, you can simply come back here and start wiping again. TwitWipe will resume from where it left off and delete whatever is remaining.

Apparently, there are some issues with retweets — the service suggests manually undoing retweets and running TwitWipe again — but if you check out the service’s Twitter account, things seem to be running smoothly. They even address some more technical issues:
