Interestingly, according to data gathered by Silk, 66% of the 89 reported Black Friday injuries since 2006 happened in Walmart.

In related Walmart news, chief merchandising officer Duncan MacNaughton unexpectedly resigned, just days before the Black Friday event. It was revealed in a company memo that MacNaughton decided to leave the global retailer “to pursue new opportunities.” His replacement has yet to be named.
