Nvidia officially kicked off CES by hosting its keynote on Sunday evening. The press conference was at 8 p.m. PST, however, and many people may have been already in bed. If you were too busy sleeping instead of catching up on the latest Nvidia news, the keynote is now available to watch at your leisure.
Over the course of an hour and 45 minutes, Nvidia announced a number of new products. The most surprising was Project SHIELD, a portable gaming machine that runs Android. It can also stream PC games from any Nvidia GTX powered machine.
The company also announced its latest generation mobile CPU – the Tegra 4. The company hailed it as the fastest mobile processor on the planet, and showed off what it can do for the future of mobile gaming.
Finally, the company announced its plans to enter the cloud gaming space with GRID. Nvidia has built massive servers that will deliver games over the cloud to gamers around the world. It will also lease these servers out to other companies who want to provide cloud services to consumers.
