Chaz Bono appeared on “The Doctors” this morning to show off his new, slimmed-down figure and wowed everyone with his physique.
Bono–the son of Cher and Sonny Bono–has struggled with weight issues for years and realized the time had come for a dramatic change last year, after doctors warned him that his cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure were all dangerously high.
Bono started at around 250 pounds and by April of this year had lost 60; he says he’s still going strong thanks to a healthy meal plan his doctor made for him.
“Diets don’t work. You just have to change what you eat, and I have. I really avoid grains and starches, so meats and vegetables and fruits are my diet. I make them all different ways to keep it interesting,” he said.
The change has affected more than just his weight, however; Bono says he feels much better in so many other aspects of life.
“I just feel much more comfortable in my skin now,” he said. “Everything is easier. Everything physically is easier. Everything feels better. And then emotionally, I just feel more comfortable and more confident.”
